| We were thrilled that so many of you decided to join us at A Taste for Events at the Royal College of Physicians on September 15th. They say that a picture speaks louder than words, so I'm going to let these pictures tell the story of an entertaining, educational evening. |

| Networking Event in Cork: Data Protection and the Events
Industry |
| |
| The weather was out to get us. The day of our networking evening was the most perfect summer's day Cork had seen all year. Who would honestly want to sit indoors and learn with all that glorious sunshine outside? Fortunately for us, quite a few people did. And from the feedback we got, they were all glad they attended. This I’m sure was thanks to Emer O'Callaghan from Barry M O'Meara & Sons, our insightful and entertaining speaker for the evening, and it was certainly helped by a tempting buffet and a chance to mingle with those who share our interest in the Events Industry. |

| Events Industry Skillnet Official Launch in Munster |
We held our official launch in the Absolute Hotel, Limerick
on the 21st of February last. The hard work of putting the
evening together was co-ordinated by Laura Curtin of Communicate
PR and she did a great job.The Absolute hotel, in the heart
of Limerick city, is a fantastic venue for events. The room
had been set up by FunIreland, the Limerick based themed events
company while Bone Idols, the band who kindly offered to entertain
guests for the evening, set the tone for everyone on arrival.
The Lord mayor of Limerick, Ger Fahy, kindly welcomed everyone
to the launch. The evening saw some new faces, as well as
some not so new. Sarah Carroll, managing director of Ireland's
leading
web based event marketing & management system provider,
eventznet.ie.introduced the concept of skillnets and outlined
the importance of having a dedicated Events Industry skillnet.
Once the formalities were over the impressive selection of
food was laid out while Bone Idols set the background for
an evening of networking! Many thanks to the sponsors of the
evening, Laura Curtin Communicate PR, The Absolute Hotel Limerick,
FunIreland and Bone Idols. Also thanks to those who attended
the evening - here's hoping everyone made some good contacts! |
